ghost_rider“There’s an old saying: Raise no more devils than you can lay down. My father raised one too many. ” – Blackheart

Number of Times Seen – 1 (3 Feb 2015)

Brief Synopsis – A stunt rider makes a deal with the devil in order to save a loved one and becomes a soulless vigilante.

My Take on it – Oh my god, this movie was sooo boring to watch and it didn’t help that Nicholas Cage convinced some mucky-muck to let him play the lead role with a really really bad toupee on his head the whole time.

The relationship he has with Eva Mendes is also boring since they don’t feel compatible at all.

Peter Fonda just isn’t a menacing enough Devil to pull it off.

The storyline itself is completely ridiculous and it came as no surprise that it was also directed by the same guy who made the horrendous Daredevil just three years earlier.

Bottom Line – One of the most boring superhero movies I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen some really bad ones.  Cage is terrible (with a horrendous toupee to add). Can’t believe they made a sequel to this.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Nicolas Cage is an avid comics fan; he took his stage surname, Cage, from character Luke Cage. His son is named “Kal-El”, Superman’s Kryptonian name. He was previously considered to play Green Goblin in Spider-Man (2002), and Superman in Tim Burton’s aborted film project, but Ghost Rider is Cage’s first role based on a comics character. (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (3/10)

  2. I only saw about the first half hour of this movie. It was playing on one of the television screens while I was on the elliptical machine. I definitely was not impressed! I used to read the Ghost Rider comics when I was younger. I had a feeling this was going to be a bomb, so I stayed away. I was shocked when they made a sequel.
